Data deletion
Updated: 9 October 2026
Remove a social connection
Sign in, open Accounts, and select Disconnect for the account. Open Social removes the connection record and its stored credentials. Cancel scheduled posts that you no longer want to publish. You can also revoke Open Social in the social platform's app permissions.
For YouTube, remove access through Google account permissions. For Bluesky, revoke the app password in Bluesky settings.
Request deletion of stored data
Contact the Open Social operator through the support channel used to obtain access to this development service. Request data deletion and identify your Open Social account email, organization, and the connected accounts or data to remove. Do not send a password, API key, or token.
The operator must verify your authority before deleting data. State whether the request covers one connection or all account data. This development version handles requests manually. Some records can remain where required by law or for security, and backups may retain data until they expire.
Content on other platforms
Open Social cannot remove a published post by deleting its local record. Delete that content in the relevant social platform. See the Privacy Policy for data types and use.
